Author Biography

Mr. Eshwar Sabapathy, B.Com., LL.B., FCS, is a managing partner at Eshwars | House of Corporate & IPR Laws, Advocates, based out of Chennai and also having a presence in Bangalore, Mumbai, and New Delhi.
He has about two decades of experience in advising business houses, companies –both listed and unlisted, compliance officers on various aspects relating to business laws, corporate laws and securities law. One of his specialization in securities law is the regulation relating to prevention of insider trading. He has advised many compliance officers in the manner of dealing with certain internal situations, successfully assisted Promoters/
KMPs/Connected Persons in their regulatory investigations, and has also successfully defended them before the Adjudicating Officers & Whole-time Members.
He is ranked in the Asia-Pacific Guide of Chambers & Partners continuously from the year 2013, and in their 2022 Global Guide, under Corporate/M&A.
